DeKalb School of the Arts, part of the county school district’s magnet program, is accepting applications for the 2015-2016 school year.
The school achieves their mission of providing high-level arts instruction through a varied curriculum and a rigorous academic program that includes both accelerated and advanced placement classes.
Ranked by the 2013 College and Career Ready Performance Index as the fifth best school in Georgia, DeKalb School for the Arts allows students to take classes in disciplines such as vocal and instrumental music, dance, drama, creative writing, media broadcast, visual arts, and technical theater.
The school has scheduled several open house information sessions: 10 a.m. Jan. 10; 6 p.m. Jan. 13; 10 a.m. Jan. 17; 6 p.m. Jan. 20; 10 a.m. Jan. 24 and 6 p.m. Jan. 27.
Applications are due by 2 p.m. Feb. 6.
