DeKalb County fire investigators were working Tuesday to determine whether a predawn apartment blaze was deliberately set after two other fires broke out in the same area at about the same time.

Channel 2 Action News reported that all three fires broke out around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday in the same area along Central Drive near Stone Mountain.

One of the fires was in a vacant building, one a vehicle fire and one damaged several units at the Wynview Apartments in the 4900 block of Central Drive.

No injuries were reported in any of the fires.

Fire investigators are “taking a very hard look” at whether the fires are connected, DeKalb fire Assistant Chief Steve Ham told Channel 2. “We have an investigator on the scene taking interviews and we’re trying to put all the pieces together.”
