With access to much of Lake Lanier restricted due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, authorities updated a list showing 26 of 48 federal sites currently opened to the public.

"Be familiar with social distancing rules, keep in mind that you cannot have more than 10 persons in your group, and if an area is experiencing congestion, consider staying in your vehicle or leaving the area to avoid the risk of exposure," the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said in a Facebook posting.

Open facilities, until they reach capacity, are Balus Creek, Belton Bridge, Bolding Mill Boat Ramp, Burton Mill Boat Ramp, Duckett Mill Boat Ramp, East Bank, Keiths Bridge Boat Ramp, Little Hall Boat Ramp, Little Ridge, Little River, Long Hollow Boat Ramp, Mountain View, Nix Bridge, Old Federal Day Use, Robinson Boat Ramp, Sardis Creek Day Use, Sardis Creek Boat Ramp, Simpson, Thompson Bridge, Thompson Creek, Tidwell, Toto Creek Boat Ramp, Two Mile, Van Pugh North, Van Pugh Middle and Vanns Tavern.
