Dunwoody police are looking for the men who robbed a McDonald’s near Perimeter Mall early Monday morning, and Sandy Springs authorities are investigating a similar crime last month.

In both cases, one of the suspects left a firearm behind, Channel 2 Action News reported. The first incident was at the McDonald’s on Hammond Drive on Dec. 27.

Authorities responded to Monday’s scene in the 4500 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road just after 4 a.m.

While the driver of a dark sedan was at the drive-through window, two suspects ran up from a location behind the building, police said. The first suspect was armed with a pistol, which he pointed at the clerk before both suspects jumped through the window and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, who is 5-foot-6 to 5-8 and weighs 150 to 175 pounds. He was wearing a dark ski mask, a black hooded jacket, black pants, light-color shoes and white gloves.

The second suspect is described as a thin black male between 5-8 and 5-10. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket, a dark ski mask, dark grayish pants, dark shoes and white gloves. He was carrying a green and black gym bag.

Police also are looking for the drive-through customer, who is considered a person of interest.
