An argument between two brothers at a home near Decatur ended with one stabbed to death and the other under arrest, police said.

The incident happened around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday at a home in the 1800 block of Long Drive, DeKalb County police spokesman Lloyd Ruffin said.

Ruffin said the 51-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, got into a verbal dispute with his brother and "the dispute escalated into an assault and the victim was stabbed." The victim was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

The victim's brother, whose name has also not been released, was arrested.
