A facility for Alzheimer patients will open in Stockbridge this fall. Autumn Leaves of Stockbridge will provide specialized care for about 50 patients who have Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory impairment. The facility is operated by the La Salle Group, a company with 15 years experience in memory care. The facility features state-of-the-art Vigil System, a motion sensor program that allows facility employees to track and monitor residents without invading their privacy. The facility will offer free programs to the public including seminars and monthly Alzheimer’s support groups. Respite care also is available. The Stockbridge facility, one of three La Salle is opening in the Atlanta area, is located at the intersection of Chadwick Commons and Monarch Village Way.
