An Alpharetta woman is facing multiple charges after she was arrested for a DUI a few weeks ago with her two children in the car, police said.

Alpharetta police said Jacqueline McFarlin had her two children, ages 14 and 9, in her SUV when she was pulled over near Westside and Old Milton parkways on April 14. Police pulled her over after seeing her driving on the wrong side of the road with her headlights turned off.

"This driver drove on the wrong side of the highway numerous times, especially on the crest of a hill with oncoming traffic at night," Alpharetta police spokesman George Gordon told Channel 2 Action News. "This is endangerment to the motoring public, herself and especially her children."

Dashcam video obtained by Channel 2 shows police giving McFarlin a field sobriety test, which she failed, police said.

Once under arrest, McFarlin told police her arrest was “not fair” and asked the officer if they could take her kids home before taking her to jail.
