A 22-year-old Riverdale man posted a two-and-a-half-minute video on Facebook detailing his recent extravagant trip to New York City. The problem was that Patrick Gissentanner used a stolen credit card to fund the trip, according to an Alpharetta police report.

A Feb. 28 Facebook post shows Gissentanner sipping champagne, taking selfies and enjoying the sights of the the big city. His video ends with a view of the airplane getting ready to take off back to Atlanta. The caption includes a sad face emoji over the view from the plane’s window. He was arrested two days later on fraud charges.

Gissentanner was an employee at the Hilton Garden Inn on Georgia Lane in Alpharetta, when he allegedly stole a guest’s credit card information to book his own reservation at a New York City hotel. Gissentanner used his real name and his employee discount to make the reservations, according to a statement made in the police report by the Hilton’s general manager, Terry Bryant.

Gissentanner even used his Facebook account to check in at the New York City hotel Feb. 26 shortly after noon.

Byrant called police Feb. 29 to report that a hotel guest had been ripped off by one of his employees, according to the police report.

Bryant said the guest called to dispute $633.35 in charges that appeared on his credit card statement from a stay at the Alpharetta hotel from Feb 25 to 27. But when Bryant inspected the fees, he discovered many charges came from the Millenium Hotel, which is located at 55 Church Street in New York City.

When Gissentanner arrived home to Georgia, police arrested him March 1 on charges of financial transaction fraud. He is currently out on bond, but could not be reached for comment, according to Channel 2. He was fired immediately from the Alpharetta Hilton.
