The city of Alpharetta has launched a new website.
City officials said their new home at www.alpharetta.ga.us is more contemporary with new features, user-friendly navigation and a “mobile-first” approach and is located on a very modern platform.
Assistant City manager James Drinkard says the update was needed, as the former website was constructed on 13-year-old technology limiting the city’s ability to add new features or create the kind of responsiveness needed in an increasingly mobile environment.
Drinkard says the city local firm Frederick-Swanston developed the new web presence using data analytics, combing through useage data from the former site to determine what information visitors were more frequently seeking. He said that helped established location and flow of information of the new site.
