The management of Allatoona Lake continues to seek park attendant contractors for three sites for the summer 2019 season.

Attendant positions are still available at Payne Campground, Old Highway 41 No. 3 Campground, and the Sweetwater Day Use Area, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. These are contract positions selected through a bid process.

Duties include renting campsites through the Recreation.gov system, issuing visitor passes, checking sites for safety issues and, at day use areas, assisting visitors with the use of automated fee machines and issuing annual and interagency passes, the Army Corps said in a Facebook posting.

Park attendant contractors are provided a full hook-up site with 50 amp electricity and water and sewer connections.

Allatoona Lake, a man-make lake in Cherokee and Bartow counties, has 589 campsites and 188 picnic sites. Information: 678-721-6700 or Joshua.P.Davis@usace.army.mil or https://bit.ly/2FvL7S4
