AKA Sorority to honor group fighting domestic violence
This Saturday, several local chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority will recognize the Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) with its first AKA Metropolitan Atlanta Founders’ Day Community Service Award.
The Legacy of Service Award, which includes a $1,000 contribution to the recipient, was created to recognize an organization whose mission aligns with the program initiatives of Alpha Kappa Alpha.
The event will be held at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the Marriott Marquis, 265 Peachtree Center Ave.
