Acworth candidate qualifying to be Aug. 19-21

Acworth residents interested in campaigning for one of Acworth’s three elected official positions may qualify for the Nov. 5 general election from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 19 to 21.
Candidates can qualify at Acworth City Hall, Office of the City Clerk, 4415 Senator Russell Ave., Acworth.
The qualifying fee for each of the three aldermen posts is $396 for the four-year terms.
Those posts are held now by Alderman Post 1 Butch Price, serving his sixth term; Alderman Post 2 Gene Pugliese, serving his third term and Alderman Post 3 Brett North, serving his first term as the result of a special election in 2014.
