Sandy Springs police have arrested the last of four suspects in one killing at an apartment complex, but continue to search for a suspect or suspects in the shooting of a state government attorney who lives at the same location.

Victor Scott, 23, of Sandy Springs was arrested and charged Monday in the April 14 killing of Patrick Placide at the Residences at Morgan Falls Apartments. Police said arrangements were made for Scott to turn himself in, which he did.

Placide, 25, and a relative were shot in the head in a parking area during a drug deal, police said. Placide died at the scene, but his cousin, Willy Jeanlouis, escaped and was treated at a local hospital.

Jeanlouis, 28, who suffered a non-life-threatening head wound, was later arrested and charged with felony murder for his alleged role in setting up the drug deal involving a marijuana exchange, police said.

In addition to Scott and Jeanlouis, police arrested Jean Stephens, 19, of Atlanta and James Taft, 28, of Sandy Springs, who are also charged with felony murder.

While all four suspects were being held at the Fulton County Jail on Tuesday in the Placide killing, a reward remains unclaimed in the April 25 shooting of Adina Parson, an attorney with the Georgia Department of Public Health.

A reward totaling $14,500 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for shooting Parson eight times, including three times in the head. The woman was found in the breezeway of an apartment building.

Gov. Nathan Deal signed an executive order offering a $10,000, and Crime Stoppers Atlanta and Friends of Adina Parson are offering a $4,500 reward.

Parson, 40, was shot around 11:35 p.m. April 20 as she was leaving to pick up her husband, police said. She has been in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital.

The reward is for information leading to the identification, apprehension and conviction of the person or people responsible for shooting Parson.

Anyone with information on the case should call the Sandy Springs Police Department at 770-551-6900 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
