Water main break closes Johns Creek road
A water main break in Johns Creek has been repaired.
Because of the break, water service was interrupted in several areas and part of Buice Road was closed.
The road repairs will continue until midnight. Buice Road is closed from Twingate Drive to Clublands Drive-Greenwich Park Drive. It will be reopened in time for the morning commute, but additional repairs — and traffic interruptions — will take place Thursday and Friday.
Water service has been restored for residents in the Farmbrook, Fox Creek, Kingston Crossing, Lakeview Estates, Linkwood and Spring Garden subdivisions.
The break of the 8-inch water main was caused by a boring contractor.
