Traffic congestion project in Johns Creek completed

By Arielle Kass
March 11, 2016

A new lane that will relieve congestion in Johns Creek is now open.

The project expands the right turn lane on northbound Jones Bridge Road, allowing less back-up for drivers turning on to eastbound McGinnis Ferry Road. Previously, right turns and through traffic were in the same lane.

Though the lane is open, work continues at the intersection.

Johns Creek is working with Forsyth County, which is widening its portion of Jones Bridge Road — called Brookwood Road in Forsyth — and McGinnis Ferry.
