Threat of snow shutters Fulton offices, cancels early voting

Feb 25, 2015

The threat of afternoon snow shuttered Fulton County offices and canceled early voting in Atlanta’s infrastructure bond referendum Wednesday.

Fulton officials announced that all county offices would be closed. They also canceled early voting at the Fulton County Government Center downtown and poll worker training scheduled for Wednesday.

Transportation for seniors and adults with developmental disabilities also was canceled. Clients and caregivers with questions about transportation can call 404-965-3085.

The county’s transportation staff is on stand-by and is monitoring county roads, according to spokeswoman Jessica Corbitt. Fulton fire stations are available as warming stations (though not overnight shelter) if needed, she said.
