The Atlanta Braves began selling season tickets to SunTrust Park Wednesday, opening a high-tech preview center near the ballpark that allows fans to see fly-though videos and experience amenities that will be featured inside the new stadium when it opens in 2017.
A press release about the SunTrust Park Preview Center says that the team will offer a wide variety of seating options and price points. Current season ticket holders, referred to by the team as “A List Members,” can buy non-premium seats ranging from $6 to $90 per ticket, or premium seating that ranges from $85 to $475 apiece.
The Braves say that 19,000 of the stadium’s 41,000 seats will be priced under $20 per ticket; more than 7,000 seats will be less than $10. About 6,000 seats, starting at $40 a piece, will have “added value” of food, beverage and special access built into the ticket price, according to the press release.
The preview center is currently only open to A List Members. Visits are by appointment only, and all current season ticket holders have been assigned a two-week appointment window in which they can meet with the Braves to discuss season-ticket purchases.
The team said in the press release that fans who are not currently season ticket holders can secure seats in the new stadium now by purchasing pro-rated 2015 season tickets, or by joining a SunTrust Park Priority List for a $100 refundable deposit.
“We want our fans to be immersed in the experience of SunTrust Park. That starts by locating our preview center adjacent to the construction site, where fans can watch the park come to life in real time,” said Derek Schiller, the Braves’ executive vice president of sales and marketing.
