Frustrated by the growing unrest between communities and law enforcement, Polk County Sheriff Johnny Moats responded by affixing four cherished words to his vehicle. He asked his fellow lawmakers throughout Georgia to do the same.
Those four words - In God We Trust - have created quite a stir not only here in Georgia but around the country as law enforcement embraces the nation’s motto as its shield in an effort to diffuse community tensions.
