Meet Gwinnett County candidates Thursday

Gwinnett County voters have a chance to meet local candidates at a forum in Lawrenceville Thursday.

Candidates for six state House of Representatives districts and two County Commission races will be featured at the forum at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 422 E. Crogan St., Lawrenceville.

Candidates for the following races have been invited:

*House Districts 81: Democrat incumbent Rep. Scott Holcomb and Republican Lane Flynn.

*House District 96: Democrat incumbent Rep. Pedro “Pete” Marin and Republican Richard “Rick” Underwood.

*House District 101: Incumbent Republican Rep. Valerie Clark and Democrat Samuel Park.

*House District 102: Incumbent Republican Rep. Buzz Brockway and Democrat Karen T. Ridgeway.

*House District 105: Incumbent Republican Rep. Joyce Chandler and Democrat Donna McLeod.

*House District 108: Republican Clay Cox and Democrat Tokhir “T.R.” Radjabov.

*County Commission chairman: Incumbent Republican Charlotte Nash and Democrat Jim Shealey.

*County Commission District 3: Incumbent Republican Tommy Hunter and Democrat Jasper Watkins III.

Former Mayor Kelly Kautz of Snellville will moderate the forum.
