Gwinnett clerk: Allow some garnishments to proceed

By Arielle Kass
Sept 29, 2015

The Gwinnett County clerk of court asked a judge to "alter or amend" his ruling that stopped garnishments in the county earlier this month.

Clerk of Court Richard Alexander said some garnishments are not unconstitutional, and should be allowed. He urged the judge to loosen the restrictions that halted them, so some garnishments could move forward.

Attorney General Sam Olens made the same request.
