Gov. Nathan Deal and first lady Sandra Deal will light the state's Christmas tree Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the Governor's Mansion in Buckhead.
The event marks the kick off of the Governor's Mansion Christmas tours. The historic home on West Paces Ferry Road is also a collection site for Toys for Tots and the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign.
The event is open to the public, although parties of 10 or more are asked to RSVP to the Governor's Mansion at (404) 261-1776.
