Fulton County and several of its cities will have public information meetings this month to discuss projects that could be funded with a proposed transportation tax. One, in Roswell, will be held tonight.

That event will be at the East Roswell Recreation Center at 9000 Fouts Road, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Residents there and in other areas will be able to comment on a list of proposed projects. Cities are required to present their project lists to the board of commissioners and to other mayors at a meeting at the end of May.

In Roswell, the proposed referendum for a tax of three-quarters of a penny would bring in an estimated $93 million. An online survey will soon be available for those unable to attend that meeting. The city also held another one earlier this week.

In Sandy Springs, the tax could bring in more than $101 million, if approved. That city is holding meetings Wednesday at Heritage Sandy Springs, 6110 Blue Stone Road, and May 12 in the council chambers of the Sandy Springs City Hall, at 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500. Both meetings will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Johns Creek, which has already held one meeting, has two more planned. They are Tuesday in the community room of Fire Station 62, at 10925 Rogers Circle, and May 16 at Park Place at Newtown Park, 3125 Old Alabama Road. Both will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.

Johns Creek expects to collect about $83 million over five years, if the vote is approved.

Unincorporated Fulton County also has several meetings scheduled, all from 6:30 to 8 p.m. They are:

Monday at the Burdett Gymnasium/Park at 2945 Burdett Road in College Park; Tuesday at the Southwest Arts Center at 915 New Hope Road; and May 12 at the South Fulton Arts Center at 4645 Butner Road.
