Early voting for the June 16 special election for state House District 55 in Atlanta begins today.
Seven candidates are vying to replace Rep. Tyrone Brooks, who resigned last month. Early voting will continue through June 12.
Voters can cast their ballots from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday June 6 at the Fulton County Registration and Elections Headquarters, 130 Peachtree St. SW, Suite 2186, Atlanta. In addition, they can vote from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 10-12 at the Buckhead Library, 269 Buckhead Ave. NE, and the Southwest Arts Center Theater Gallery, 915 New Hope Road SW.
