DeKalb District Attorney Robert James has repaid the county $1,915 for his spending during business travel, a move his critics say raises questions about whether his expenses were appropriate.

But James says there's nothing improper about his spending, which he reimbursed out of an abundance of caution.

Bob Lundsten, who pleaded guilty last month to a misdemeanor related to his spending of $310 in public money, is arguing that James is doing essentially the same thing that he prosecuted Lundsten for.

And Sherry Boston, DeKalb's solicitor-general who is running against James, says his spending may be illegal.
