An explosive report on DeKalb County corruption is calling on Interim CEO Lee May to resign.

The report claims May violated the public trust by taking a questionable loan from a DeKalb employee.

It also slammed other DeKalb commissioners and said those who violated the public trust should also resign.

The conclusions are contained in a report that May commissioned in March to root out corruption in scandal-plagued DeKalb.

Its authors are Mike Bowers, the state's former attorney general, and his longtime lead investigator, Richard Hyde.

“Appalling corruption and a stunning absence of leadership in the DeKalb County government are a disgrace to its citizens and an embarrassment to the state,” the two wrote.
