Clayton State University is expanding its Morrow campus by nearly 13 acres and gaining a sixth lake.

The university recently closed a deal on a tract of land belonging to the estate of Phyllis Trammell. The property will eventually provide public road access between the main campus and Clayton State East.

The purchase was finalized in early January. Clayton State took occupancy of the property in late February.

Clayton State was founded in 1969 and has more than 7,000 students.
