Georgia citizens are meeting this weekend to take a deep look at developing legislation to address child support reform, school discipline, mental health and the police, technology skills and treatment of the homeless.

The event, hosted by Rep. Dar'shun Kendrick, D-Lithonia, is an effort to get residents involved in the state's policy-making process.

Citizens will have an opportunity to meet with industry experts, legislators, attorneys and activists.

The event will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the Atlanta campus of ITT-Tech at 485 Oak Place, Suite 800. Registration is required through kendrickforgeorgia.com.
