Businesses may bring jobs, investment to DeKalb

While businesses have expanded across metro Atlanta in recent years, many of them have stayed away from DeKalb County.

But that could be changing as DeKalb business leaders work to advertise the county's latent value and repair its scandal-plagued reputation. Tax incentives for businesses to expand in DeKalb are also a major attraction.

About 27 businesses are looking to relocate or expand in DeKalb in the near future, according to the Decide DeKalb Development Authority, the county government's economic development arm.
