A health center that partners with Atlanta Public Schools will remain open amid school building closures prompted by the spread of the coronavirus.

The district announced that Whitefoord health clinics, with locations at King Middle School and the Whitefoord Early Learning Academy, are open this week, even though teachers and students are doing school work remotely.

Whitefoord also runs the Whitefoord Family Medical Center, and it too remains open.

In a message posted on its website, Whitefoord advised patients to not delay treatment of chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure or care for asthma, depression and anxiety among other health issues.

“Our doors are open, and we're continuing to see patients at our health centers, with appropriate screening precautions in place. Please note: We have not been informed of any member of the Whitefoord community who has tested positive for COVID-19,” the website stated.
