Two Cherokee County School District students have been named to leadership roles with Georgia 4-H. Creekview High School junior Lukas Freeman earned the highest leadership role a student can achieve, state representative for the State 4-H Board of Directors. Lukas will help plan 4-H events such as Fall Forum and State 4-H Council, and preside over State 4-H Congress banquets. He will also represent 4-H at events including Agriculture Day at the Capitol, Leadership Day at the Capitol, Junior National Livestock Banquet and Georgia Agribusiness Council Harvest Ball. Freedom Middle School eighth-grader Chandler Stevenson was elected to the Georgia 4-H Northwest District Junior Board of Directors. His responsibilities on board will include helping plan and preside over assemblies for middle and high school project competitions. He also will help plan Junior Conference, a statewide service project weekend retreat for middle school students.
