These Fulton schools grew fastest in improving math scores

These Fulton County middle schools showed the largest percentage of growth in eighth-grade math scores on the Georgia Milestones between 2016 and 2017.

At Woodland Middle School,  2.3 percent of the students scored as proficient or distinguished in 2016. That rose to 7.7 percent in 2017, for a growth of 239 percent.

Amana Academy School students did better, with the number of students scoring as proficient or distinguished growing from 25 to 60 percent. That’s a growth of 138 percent .

Sandy Springs Middle School grew its proficient and distinguished scorers from 14.2 to 29 percent, for a growth of 104 percent.

Camp Creek Middle, went from 7.8 percent of students scoring as proficient or distinguished to 15.1 percent. That is a growth of 94 percent.

In 2016, 12.3 percent of Hapeville Charter Middle School students scored as proficient or distinguished. That grew to 19.5  in 2017, for a growth of 58 percent.
