A North Cobb-Harrison team has won its third consecutive national championship in the Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps Brain Brawl, a college bowl-styled academic competition.The team includes Alex Birchler, North Cobb; Andrew Kelly, Harrison; Tomas King, North Cobb; Dawson Bowman, North Cobb; and Jackson Fowler, North Cobb. Clinching their third consecutive title broke a championship record. The competition was held at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. and included 23 other teams from all around the country. In addition to placing first in team competition, Alex Birchler, the senior who is team captain, placed first in the individual "Brawl Stars" competition for the second consecutive year.
