Morehouse School of Medicine will hold a forum on June 19 involving the need for more diversity in clinical trials.

Scientific and medical experts will discuss ways to improve participation in these trials, along with ways to better understand the way science and medical communities develop and provide medicines. The forum will also provide information on how medicines can be better developed for all people.

Morehouse School of Medicine has focused research on areas that disproportionately impact minority communities, including cancer, reproductive diseases and women’s health.

The forum runs from noon to 2 p.m. in the medical school’s National Center for Primary Care, 720 Westview Drive in Atlanta.
