Marist School's varsity football team and cheerleaders traveled to Dublin, Ireland last month to compete in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic, and beating Miami's Belen Jesuit 27-0 in Donnybrook Stadium. Before the game, the team and cheerleaders participated in a parade and pep rally at Trinity College. The team, cheerleaders, and chaperones also visited three three schools that, like Marist School, are owned and operated by the Society of Mary: Catholic University School, St. Mary's College, and Chanel College. On their final day in Ireland, the group attended the Georgia Tech-Boston College game, which Georgia Tech won 17-14, and then a banquet with all the high schools that took part in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic. At the banquet, Marist School senior Jack O' Keefe received the Global Student Ambassador Award, in recognition of outstanding character on and off of the field.
