The Marietta Schools Foundation recently presented Karen Brogan, a teacher at Marietta Sixth Grade Academy, with a $2,500 check for earning her master teacher certification from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

Georgia’s master teacher certification program recognizes teachers who have consistently demonstrated instructional excellence through student achievement.

Brogan has worked at MSGA for nine years and has 15 years of teaching experience.

“She exemplifies the art of inspiring students to excel, and we recognize her dedication and commitment to teaching,” said Maddox Kilgore, the president of the Marietta Schools Foundation.
