In its first meeting of the year the Fulton County School Board re-elected District 1 board member Linda Schultz president for a 2-year term. District 5 board member Linda McCain was elected to a one-year term as vice president.

Schultz, who was re-elected to a four-year term in November, joined the school board in 2005 and represents areas in Alpharetta, Milton and Roswell. McCain joined the school board in 2011 and represents the Alpharetta and Johns Creek areas.

Two other members of the board begin new four-year terms: Linda Bryant, who represents District 4, begins her fifth term of office, and Gail Dean, who represents District 3, begins her fourth term.
