Last day of school for metro students this week
A Cobb County school bus stops on Six Flags Drive to let students off Oct. 8. Cobb County school buses are equipped with a cellphone GPS system. Complaints are down and more kids are being picked up on time thanks to the system the county purchased a little more than a year ago, according to administrators.

May 21, 2015The school year is officially winding down, with summer just around the corner for students.
Metro Atlanta schools are slated to let out this week for the summer break. Cobb and Gwinnett school systems are both dismissing students on Thursday.
The school year for students in Fulton, DeKalb and Atlanta Public Schools will end on Friday.
