Former President Jimmy Carter will deliver a keynote address on human trafficking during a visit to Clark Atlanta University on Feb. 13.

Carter has been outspoken on the issue, particularly on the abuse of women, calling it the “worst and most pervasive and unaddressed human rights violations on earth.” Following his speech, Carter will sign copies of his most recent book, “A Call to Action: Women, Religion, Violence and Power.”

The speech begins at 1 p.m. in the Clark Atlanta’s Bishop Cornelius L. Henderson Student Center, 223 James P. Brawley Drive. The event is free, open to the public and sponsored by the university’s Office of Multicultural Affairs.
