Four incumbent Cobb County school board members were among the candidates who filed paperwork to qualify to run for seats up for grabs in November.

Republican Randy Scamihorn, the incumbent for the District 1 seat, qualified to seek re-election last week, as did Republicans Brad Wheeler, who represents District 7, and David Banks, who represents District 5. All are running unopposed.

Democrat David Morgan, who represents District 3, is the only incumbent facing a challenger in the May 24 primary, Democrat Albert McRae III. There were no Republicans to qualify for the seat.

Election Day is Nov. 8.
