The DeKalb County School District will be holding two public hearings during its monthly meeting Monday.

In addition to the work session and business meeting, the district will be having its second public hearing on the budget. Last month, district officials proposed a $955 million budget, up 8.7 percent from the previous year.

The school board’s work session will begin at its normal 2 p.m. time, followed by a Committee of the Whole meeting and an executive session for personnel matters. The budget hearing will take place at 5:45 p.m., followed by a hearing on the millage rate at 6:15 p.m. Community input will take place at 6:45 instead of 5:45 p.m. The business meeting will take place at its normal 7 p.m. time.
