Atlanta students can register for school and get free school supplies, health screenings and information about after-school resources at the Atlanta Public Back to School Bash on Saturday, July 25. The event is from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Atlanta Metropolitan State College, 1630 Metropolitan Parkway SW. The Back to School Bash will also include raffles and children's activities.

Free transportation is available with pickups at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. from:

  • Sutton Middle School
  • Carver High School
  • Grady High School
  • Jackson High School
  • Douglass High School
  • Mays High School
  • Therrell High School
  • Washington High School
  • South Atlanta High School

The first day of school for Atlanta Public Schools is Aug. 5.
