Metro Atlanta teachers can register for free programs during the weekend of the College Football Playoff National Championship.

While the big football game will be played Jan. 8 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the College Football Playoff Foundation will host its Extra Yard for Teachers Summit and lounge on Jan. 6 at the Georgia World Congress Center, Building A. Presenters at the summit include Atlanta Public Schools superintendent Meria Carstarphen, the Ron Clark Academy Essentials Step Team, and Andrés Ruzo, a National Geographic explorer and geoscientist.

Registration is open for the summit and the lounge, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and offer chair massages, a pop-up bookstore, giveaways, and other activities.
