First day of school is soon for most metro Atlanta schools
Summer break ends for some metro Atlanta children next week, as school begins. Classes start:
Monday, Aug. 1: Cobb, Cherokee and Henry counties and the city of Decatur;
Wednesday, Aug. 3: Atlanta Public Schools;
Thursday, Aug. 4: city of Buford and Forsyth County;
Monday, Aug. 8: Clayton, DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, Douglas and Fayette counties.
