Students from 15 DeKalb County high schools will show off their work at the DeKalb County School District's second Student Film Festival.

The event will take place Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the AMC North DeKalb Theater, 2042 Lawrenceville Highway in Decatur.

Attendees will have the chance to view all films before voting on prizes. Professional judges, including entertainment and film industry representatives, will judge submissions before naming winners. Awards will be presented in categories including best in show, best actor, best directing and audience choice.

The film festival, which is free to the public, also will include a red carpet.
