DeKalb County School District officials have announced five public hearings to gather information ahead of final designations for the E-SPLOST V program. The initiative, called “Building S.P.A.C.E.S.,” seeks input to determine how money from the E-SPLOST V should be used, where building will take place and why revenues from the program should go toward improvements.
The meetings will be held over the next two weeks, beginning with one at 7 p.m. tonight at Chamblee Charter High School, 3688 Chamblee-Dunwoody Road, to discuss potential improvements in the Chamblee, Dunwoody and Cross Keys clusters of schools. Other meetings also will begin at 7 p.m. and will be as follows:
Thursday: Columbia High School, 2106 Columbia Dr. in Decatur, discussing the Cedar Grove, Columbia, McNair and Towers clusters.
Monday: Miller Grove High School, 2645 Medical Parkway in Lithonia, discussing the Lithonia, Martin Luther King Jr., Miller Grove and Southwest DeKalb clusters.
Oct. 27: at Stone Mountain High School, 4555 Central Drive in Stone Mountain, discussing the Clarkston, Redan, Stephenson and Stone Mountain clusters.
Oct. 29: Tucker High School, 5036 LaVista Road in Tucker, discussing the Druid Hills, Lakeside and Tucker clusters.
