An advocate and critic of the proposed constitutional amendment on charter schools will debate Oct. 17.

Mark Peevy, former executive director of the defunct Georgia Charter Schools Commission, will debate Margaret Ciccarelli, an attorney with the Professional Association of Georgia Educators.

The Emory LaVista Parent Council hosts the event at 9:00 a.m. at the International Community School, 2418 Wood Trail Lane, Decatur.
