About 87 percent of Cobb’s eighth graders recently performed at or above state standards on the state’s Eighth Grade Writing Assessment, a one percent improvement over last year’s results.

The test evaluates students’ writing ideas, organization, style and convention and is required for graduation. To view more detailed results, visit http://www.cobbk12.org/centraloffice/communications/news/2013/20130325_8thGradeWritingTest.pdf.
