Cobb to hire 30 more teachers

Cobb County’s school board approved the hiring of 30 new teachers at its last board meeting. The district predicted that it would have 104,393 students this year. Instead, 105,757 showed up overcrowding several classes. The 30 new teachers will cost the district about $2.2 million. Several Atlanta-area school districts this year were off by more than 1000 students in their projection.
