Cobb County names its ‘Teacher of the Year’

Richard Kaht, a science teacher at Dickerson Middle School, was named Cobb county’s teacher of the year Thursday. The teacher was surprised at an assembly where superintendent Michael Hinojosa presented him with a one-year vehicle lease from Ed Voyles Automotive and the opportunity to have his handprints immortalized in Marietta Square. He now qualifies for the state’s “Teacher of the Year” award.
