Cherokee County schools will not use days from their week-long February break to make up for two days students missed recently because of snow and ice.

Also, unless bad weather causes students to miss more days before spring break, students can expect to have that full week off, according to the school system.

The superintendent is directing staff to research viable options for online learning and other potential alternatives to allow students to make up instructional time lost due to recent bad weather.
